The University of Michigan REU Site has been operating continuously since 1989. We are grateful to the National Science Foundation for its support, to the faculty members for their gracious mentorship and to all of the students, over the years, who spent their summers with us.
"Summer research at Michigan is when I first realized that scientists create their own path, and have the power to discover. The memory of my REU experience sustained me until I could embark on advanced study, and now I enjoy working with my own REU students."
